Summer temperatures in Saudi Arabia can easily pass 45°C, and your air conditioner works harder than at any other time of the year. A little maintenance before the heat arrives keeps your home cool, lowers your electricity bill and prevents breakdowns when you need the AC most.
1. Clean or replace the filters
Dusty filters block airflow and force the compressor to work harder. Wash reusable filters every two to four weeks during heavy use.
2. Book a professional deep cleaning
A technician cleans the indoor coil, blower and outdoor unit without removing the AC. We recommend this every three months.
3. Check the Freon level
Weak cooling is often caused by low refrigerant. Always check for leaks before refilling — refilling a leaking unit only solves the problem for a short time.
4. Keep the outdoor unit clear
Remove sand, leaves and anything blocking the condenser so it can release heat properly.
5. Inspect the drain line
A blocked drain causes water to drip inside the room. Have it flushed during cleaning.
6. Set a sensible temperature
Setting the thermostat to 24°C balances comfort and energy use.
7. Choose a periodical maintenance package
A maintenance package combines cleaning, refilling and a general check-up so small faults are caught early.
